Electrochemical Surface Refinement
Surface finish is a major limiting factor of metal additive manufacturing (AM). Most methods to improve surface finish were not developed with the unique obstacles of AM in mind. My patent pending electrochemical surface refinement (ESR) process was developed specifically for AM and its unique complexities. While the process is novel, it is compatible with most electrochemical equipment and can easily be tooled to existing facilities.
Materials and Process Selection
Most products are made out of materials, and materials need to be processed. Materials and manufacturing go hand-in-hand and must be considered together. Often materials selection and process development are performed independently, which causes problems during production and use. I bridge this gap by perform materials and process trade studies that encompass all aspects of the part lifecycle.
